Tojo Rodialson

Senior Full-Stack Developer & SaaS Engineer

I build, secure and scale web applications, APIs and SaaS products — from technical audits to production-ready solutions.

Ten years of production software for startups, international organizations, and my own SaaS product, with a security background and end-to-end ownership — working remotely with teams across time zones.

From technical audit to production SaaS

Six service areas, each defined by the problem it solves rather than a list of technologies. Every engagement starts with your context — the stack you have, the constraints you face, and the outcome you need.

  1. Technical & security audits

    The problem

Your application runs in production, but nobody can say with confidence where it actually stands — code quality, dependency versions, authentication, configuration.

    What I do

A structured review of the codebase, dependencies and runtime versions (PHP and other stacks), known vulnerabilities, authentication and authorization, configuration, APIs, and performance — documented findings, ranked by actual risk.

    The result

A clear picture of where the application stands, and a prioritized plan for what to fix first.

    PHP · Node.js · Go · Dependencies · Authn/Authz · API review

  2. Application updates & modernisation

    The problem

An aging stack — old PHP or Laravel, an outdated Node.js or React version — blocks upgrades, slows delivery, and makes every change riskier than it should be.

    What I do

Version upgrades and dependency migrations for PHP, Laravel, Node.js and React/Next.js, refactoring where it pays off, and compatibility work that keeps the application running while it moves.

    The result

A supported, maintainable stack that unblocks hosting upgrades, security patches, and new features.

    PHP/Laravel upgrades · Node.js · React/Next.js · Refactoring

  3. Full-stack development

    The problem

You need working software — a backend, an API, an interface, integrations with the tools you already use — not isolated pieces.

    What I do

Web applications built end to end: backends, REST APIs, product interfaces, and third-party integrations, engineered for production from the first commit.

    The result

An application in production that your team can actually maintain — documented, tested, and owned.

    TypeScript · Node.js/Fastify · React/Next.js · Go · REST APIs

  4. SaaS architecture & development

    The problem

Turning a product idea into a real SaaS raises questions most teams meet for the first time: multi-tenancy, subscriptions, payments, storage, and what to scale first.

    What I do

Design and build of the SaaS itself: multi-tenant architecture, subscription billing with Stripe, storage, and dashboards — informed by running my own SaaS in production since 2020.

    The result

A product built on architecture decisions already tested against real users and real data.

    Multi-tenant · Stripe billing · PostgreSQL · Next.js

  5. Cloud, backup & integrations

    The problem

Your data lives in too many places, backups are manual or missing, and repetitive work eats your team’s time.

    What I do

S3-compatible storage integration, backup and archiving flows, workflow automations, and the third-party APIs that connect your systems together.

    The result

Dependable data flows, recovery you can rely on, and less manual work.

    S3-compatible storage · MinIO · Automations · API integration

  6. Maintenance & technical support

    The problem

After launch, bugs pile up, dependencies drift, and small changes wait for weeks because nobody owns the application anymore.

    What I do

Ongoing bug fixing, performance optimization, dependency and security monitoring, and evolutionary maintenance with a clear process for requesting changes.

    The result

An application that stays healthy in production — with one accountable engineer to call.

Bug fixing · Optimization · Dependency monitoring · Support

Everabyte — my own SaaS product

Everabyte is not client work. It is a cloud storage, backup, and data-infrastructure SaaS I designed and built myself — product, architecture, frontend, backend, and infrastructure — and have been running in production since 2020.

What the platform does

  • Cloud storage
  • Online backup
  • Long-term archiving
  • User & organization management
  • S3-compatible storage API
  • Subscription payments
  • Desktop backup applications
  • Multi-region architecture

My technical role

Product & architecture
Product design, SaaS architecture, multi-tenant data model, storage decisions.
Frontend
Next.js / TypeScript interfaces.
Backend
Node.js / Fastify services, plus Go services for performance-critical work.
Data
PostgreSQL data model and billing.
Storage
S3-compatible, multi-provider integration across regions.
Desktop
Flutter / Dart backup applications.

My own SaaS — cloud storage, backup & data infrastructure

Encryption-heavy operations were the first bottleneck — moving them to dedicated Go services fixed throughput without rewriting the whole product.

Provider independence: an S3-compatible storage layer keeps Everabyte free from a single cloud vendor.

Four architecture generations (Laravel → Node.js → Go services → Next.js), each driven by benchmarks and concrete product needs.

Understand the requirement before writing code.

For more than ten years, I have been building web applications — backend systems, APIs, and the product interfaces on top of them — across very different contexts: growing startups, international organizations, and established companies. The same standard everywhere — readable, tested code that is still easy to maintain three years after delivery.

Founder and co-founder of three technology startups, including Everabyte (cloud storage, backup, and data infrastructure), I know what it means for a product to move from MVP to scale: choices made in month 2 are paid for — or pay off — in month 24.

Certified Professional Cloud Architect (IONOS, 2025), I design lean cloud infrastructure: sized for real traffic, documented, and with no surprise costs.

AI accelerates implementation.Engineering judgment remains human.

AI coding agents are part of my daily workflow — for codebase analysis, code generation, refactoring, test generation, debugging, documentation, migration planning, and security review assistance. AI-generated code is reviewed, tested, and validated before production.

  1. Understand

Architecture, constraints, business requirements, and existing codebase.

  2. Contextualize

Give the agent explicit project rules, architecture constraints, and expected outcomes.

  3. Generate & explore

Implementation alternatives, code generation, refactoring, and repetitive engineering work.

  4. Review

Manually inspect generated changes, architecture decisions, and edge cases.

  5. Test

Automated tests, integration tests, type checks, linting, and security checks.

  6. Validate

Behavior, performance, backwards compatibility, and production constraints.

  7. Ship

Merge through normal Git and CI/CD processes.

Daily tools

Claude Code · Codex / OpenAI · Cursor · AI coding agents · MCP tools

Projects delivered before these tools existed were engineered without them — that experience is the foundation this workflow builds on. AI is an engineering multiplier here, not a substitute for engineering judgment.
